The latest in a long line of tabletop CD decks from Kam is packed with features. Scratch mode jog wheel, seamless looping, digital effects and MP3 playback are all on offer.

The KCD400 has some nice extra features, such as three digital effects and seamless looping. The unit also allows you to edit the loop by lengthening or shortening it with the use of the skip button. You can achieve some great effects with the KCD400 flanger, filter and echo by using the jog wheel to change the parameter of the effect up or down when engaged.

The three hot cues will let you set cue points to jump to from within the track and, if used well, you can instantly remix the playing track on the fly, when done well this can be a great effect all by itself.

Both analogue RCA line outs and digital output are on the rear of the unit, the digital out could come in handy for recording or sampling, and for those moments when you need to nip off to the toilet the relay play will start your second KCD400 when the current playing track ends.
